Incorporating music, sketch comedy and hilarious tales told grown-up style, Beverly-born Victoria Zielinski and her husband, former Saturday Night Live writer Paul Barrosse -- founding members of Chicago’s famed Practical Theatre Company in the 1980s -- bring their smart and snappy comedy back to the Chicago stage after a 20 year intermission. Married in real life, the couple raised their kids then decided to return to what brought them together in the first place: Live comedy. The Vic & Paul Show’s
fabulous fun lands them somewhere between Nick & Nora Charles and Mike Nichols & Elaine May ­ if they were 50-something parents with grown kids. Musical director Steve Rashid accompanies on keyboards and provides his own brand of satirical songwriting.
