Vahagni’s groundbreaking releases introduce him not only as a composer and guitar virtuoso but a pioneer in new World Music. Son of world-renowned classical guitarist, Srakis Turgutyan, LA resident Vahagni has been nominated for the Hollywood Music in Media awards, JPF Music Awards and was the winner of the 2010 AMA Awards for Guitar album of the year. His new CD Solitude is in the picks for the 55th Grammy Awards. He was also featured by the California Philharmonic and was the feature soloist for the Pacific Shores Philharmonic among many credits. He earned his MFA degree at Calif Institute of the Arts where he teaches in the guitar department.
