Afterthought Theatre Company presents “The Vagina Monologues” November 12 through 19 at the Crossroads Theatre at Five Points, 2590 Washington St., Denver, CO 80205. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 online at www.afterthoughttheatre.com; $20 at the door (cash only). “The Vagina Monologues,” starring Nicole Schrader, Maya Lea Osterman, Chelsea Rossetto and Rachel Pater, Introduces a wildly divergent gathering of female voices, including a six-year-old girl, a septuagenarian New Yorker, a vagina workshop participant, a woman who witnesses the birth of her granddaughter, a Bosnian survivor of rape, and a feminist happy to have found a man who “liked to look at it.”
“The Vagina Monologues” was written in 1996. First performed in the basement of the Cornelia Street Café in Greenwich Village and since has been translated into 45 languages and performed in over 130 countries. Celebrities who have starred in the play include: Jane Fonda, Whoopi Goldberg, Idina Menzel,Glenn Close, Susan Sarandon, Marin Mazzie, Cyndi Lauper, Mary Testa and Oprah Winfrey. Ensler was awarded the Obie Award in 1996 for ‘Best New Play.’

Afterthought Theatre Company is a new theater company in the Denver Metro Area. It was founded for the sole purpose of staging “The Meeting” by Jeff Stetson; however due to an outpouring of support from the community we are advancing our endeavor to bring quality Broadway and theatrical performances to Denver.
We are a traveling theatre company performing in various venues in our community. We offer high-quality, wholesome, and compelling entertainment for discerning theater attendees of all ages.
