'Unseen Eye' is a dramatic exhibition of 200 photographs from one of the most important New York collectors of photography - William Hunt. With works by Avedon, Arbus, Cartier-Bresson, Mapplethorpe, William Klein, Robert Frank and Lee Friedlander, all of the subjects in this compelling exhibition have their eyes hidden or obscured. Vintage and contemporary black and white images join photography in vibrant colors to create a picture of humanity from birth to death. The photographs will evoke a wide range of emotions, all the while captured by the mechanical reproduction of our own eyes - the camera lens.
