A world-premiere adaptation of Franz Kafka's The Trial by Jared Reed. Josef K. wakes up one morning and is arrested and prosecuted for an unspecified crime, never knowing why. From this most simple premise, Kafka spins a nightmare like no other. Six actors, all members of Curio Theatre's growing ensemble, portray all the novel's characters in this surreal and maddening tragicomedy which spotlights bureaucracy and paranoia.
Tickets are $10-$22 ($10 tickets for students) with discounts for groups of 10 or more. Performances will be staged at the Sanctuary, 4740 Baltimore Ave, Philadelphia. Evening performances will be 7 p.m., Thursday; 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10-Nov. 2. Opening night, Friday, Oct. 10, also includes a complimentary post-show party nearby at Abbraccio Restaurant, 820 S 47th Street, Philadelphia.
