The town of Miami Lakes and KCC Productions present Concert on the Fairway Saturday, November 17, starting at 7 PM. Singer-songwriter Leesa Richards opens the evening. Leesa is a storyteller, a soulful voice offering a soundtrack to the narratives of life. Her sound taps into the deep roots of r&b, the poetry of jazz and folk and the energy of rock. Her debut solo album, Mother’s Child, is a beautiful organic blend exploring love and loss. Richards has performed with a slate of powerhouse artists including Faith Hill, Whitney Houston, The Bee Gees, Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, Julio Iglesias and Oleta Adams and has recorded with Barbra Streisand and Lenny Kravitz. She played the role of Mary Magdalene in the National Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar and has sung on numerous television commercials.

LeNard Rutledge then brings his robust vocals to bear in a soul-stirring set of eclectic jazz. Often compared to legendary Lou Rawls, Rutledge’s silky voice is backed up by an ensemble of Miami musical heavyweights. In response to the release of his first independent album, Hello World, the Miami New Times voted Rutledge Best Jazz Artist of the Year. Rutledge’s silky voice and classy elegance have made him one of the most sought-after vocal talents in contemporary jazz.He has performed in South Florida originally as the featured vocalist for the Melton Mustafa Orchestra. LeNard has been a featured vocalist at area jazz spots in South Florida. The Museum of Contemporary Art, the Van Dyke Café and O’Hara’s Jazz Pub are the most notable. LeNard has shared the stage with a number of highly respectable jazz artists such as: Nnenna Freelon, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Kenny Drew Jr., and Harry Allen.
