Sarabeth is a struggling painter, just out of art school, whose first revolutionary act involves scoring a job and moving to Manhattan. Even though shes less than 10 miles from home, shes ready to take on the New York art community. Instead, shes forced to reconsider her extended Jewish family and to struggle with her college boyfriend, who chooses the suburbs, a good job and an entertainment center over a life of uncertainty in the city.
