The Three Musketeers March 30, 2009

The “Read the Movie, Watch the Book” selection is the 1948 film version of Alexandre Dumas’ The Three Musketeers. The book and film features the adventures of D’Artagnan, a young provincial noble who comes to Paris to join the famous Musketeers. He soon meets and becomes involved in political plotting with “The Three Musketeers:” Athos, Porthos and Aramis. Featuring a cast that includes Gene Kelly, Lana Turner, Vincent Price, Angela Lansbury, June Allyson and Gig Young, this swashbuckling adventure is a delight for the entire family! Discussion time will follow the movie. Free and open to the public.
