For more than forty years, the Temptations have prospered, propelling popular music with a series of smash hits and sold-out performances throughout the world.
The history of the Temptations is the history of contemporary American pop. An essential component of the original Motown machine, that amazing engine invented by Berry Gordy, the Temps began their musical life in Detroit in the early sixties. It wasn't until 1964, however that Smokey Robinson wrote and produced "The Way You Do the Things You Do," which turned the guys into stars.
The Temptations are a multi-Grammy Award winning vocal group that achieved fame as one of the most successful acts to record for Motown Records. The group's repertoire has included, at various times during its five-decade career, R&B, doo-wop, funk, disco, soul, and adult contemporary music.
They have sold over 22 million records in their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame career and their many hits include:
My Girl
Get Ready
Ain't Too Proud to Beg

(I Know) I'm Losing You
All I Need
