Bag & Baggage's presents a world-premiere adaptation of these two works, written by William Shakespeare and his contemporary John Fletcher. The two pieces are adapted into one show and directed by Artistic Director Scott Palmer, performed together at each performance - with the same cast playing the matching roles in each of the two stories.
Petruchio tempers Katherine into submission in the classic Shrew, but then the tables turned in A Woman's Prize (or The Tamer Tamed), written as a sequel and reply to Shrew, and considered by many to be one of the more feminist plays of the Elizabethan era! In this original adaption the two stories weave together into one hysterical battle of the sexes.
A hysterical, not to be missed world premiere theatrical event!
Performances at The Venetian Theatre in Hillsboro, February 12 - 28 (various dates).
