Based on Toronto's most legendary strip, The Tale of a Town - Queen West is a site-specific theatrical journey through the past 30 years of this renowned neighbourhood. Beginning at the TPM red doors then traveling through alleyways and along Queen Street itself, this play takes place inside an empty storefront that has been transformed to represent three iconic Queen West locales: a new controversial condo development, a second hand clothing store and a local bar that resonates with songs from the Cameron House. Merging live music, documentary theatre, clown, and lively local stories, The Tale of a Town - Queen West invites the audience to take a trip down Queen Street's memory lane while asking the question, If this is the past, what will become of the future?
