The Subdudes came together in New Orleans back in 1997 for what they thought would be a one-night gig. They enjoyed each other's company so much that they formed the Subdudes. Their rootsy sound is mostly acoustic, with a strong emphasis on songwriting & vocal harmonies. Five albums & roughly a decade later, they split to pursue other avenues in 1996. After a few spinoff projects & a couple reunion gigs, three of the four original members came back together in 2002. Since rising to the front of her husband's zydeco band, Rosie Ledet has been performing steadily throughout the Louisiana-Texas zydeco circuit as well as coast to coast. She plays the more traditional style Cajun and zydeco music.
