Silver Lining Management presents THE STEU (stew). Returning for a third year, THE STEU is a monthly production featuring raw talent from the NY Metro Area and beyond. Our main ingredients are fresh, handpicked, multi-genre artists which create flavorful composition of music, comedy, and fun! Why "The Steu"?
The Steu was initially created for artists seeking to improve their technique and broaden their fan base. Raw talent faced with the obstacle of being able to show and prove in front of a live, intimate, and verbally critical audience. The showcase began in 2006 in an apartment converted to a studio facility on Steuben Street in East Orange, NJ. Artists battled one another for prizes, cash, bragging rights, and promotion. The space acted both as a design studio featuring fashion and painting during the day and a party place for area DJs and Promoters over weekends. From this grassroots background THE STEU has evolved into a successful promotional vehicle for independent creativity. We feature artists in live showcases, quarterly newsletters, and on our social networking sites. Our participants will receive informational newsletters or mailings occasionally concerning shows that we have knowledge of or independent artist opportunities. Some artists that are featured in the show may also be selected for the STEU RADIO show.
