NOISE POP 2010
Everyone’s favorite Swedish group, The Soundtrack of Our Lives, or TSOOL., will be gracing the 2010 Noise Pop festival with their psychedelic presence. Turning a retro sound into something completely modern, TSOOL have been fascinating fans since their debut in 1995.
Their live performances showcase the band in their full glory; loud, powerful, and proof that music can move you in ways you wouldn’t expect. Singer Ebbot Lundberg channels all the charisma and feeling into his singing, bringing listeners back to the “feel-good” sentiments of the past.
Certainly an act that would have fit in well with the Woodstock crowd, this band is anything but outdated. Drawing from bands like Pink Floyd and The Who, TSOOL blends the gritty, reverb guitar sounds of the '60s with the experimentalism of the '70s to make something that resonates with fans of all ages and musical tastes. With many prominent worldwide tours and numerous festival appearances, TSOOL has yet to lose any momentum. Their US break came with their 2001 release, Behind the Music, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Album in 2003. Communion, the band’s fifth studio album, was released in 2008 as a 2-disc package with 24 tracks. Their longest release to date, it has received critical acclaim worldwide and has cemented their place in the international music scene. According to the band’s Myspace, their live performances can save the lives of the audience. So be sure to catch their amazing set with Nico Vega, just in case your life needs saving.
