Critically acclaimed singer Mary Lee Kortes (Mary Lee’s Corvette) performs folk-rock songs based on fictional character Beulah Rowley, a regionally known depression-era singer and songwriter from the Midwest.

Written by Mary Lee Kortes and Directed by Darrell Larson, The Songs of Beulah Rowley includes 12 compositions with Beulah's biography as narration presented between the songs. Images of Beulah and her family, her home, landscapes, as well as images from the era, will be projected on screens throughout the performance. Interviews with townspeople and their descendants as well as contemporary writers and music critics will also be shown. The minimal stage design will include vintage theatre curtains and the piano bench. The performance lasts approximately 55 minutes.
