Born and raised in the early MTV era of things, The Smithereens are known for their powerful 60s pop-influenced rock sound and their, most especially, for their live shows. Their influence was so strong, it’s said Kurt Cobain felt it while writing songs for Nevermind. It’s true! These power-pop/alt. rockers keep busy touring schedules and it’s always a treat catching them on stage. Beatles fanatics, Who fans and heavy metal lovers make up this band of friends. Their songs are filled with addictive hooks and classic guitar pop.
