A comedy by Wendy Wasserstein. Three middle-aged, Jewish sisters meet together in London for the fifty-fourth birthday of their eldest sibling, Sara. Now a divorced, single mother, Sara has made her life as a brilliant banker in England. Gorgeous, the middle sister, is a talk show personality. The youngest of the three, Pfeni, is a journalist struggling to write a book on the women of Tajikistan. Pfeni's boyfriend Geoffrey visits the sisters' gathering, bringing along his friend Mervyn. Sara, who has renounced romance, soon learns the error of her ways.
