Next Monday, June 23, The Sharp Things will take a brief hiatus from their hiatus to play a special show in support of their friend, Catherine Wheel's Rob Dickinson!
Many will recall Britain's Catherine Wheel as one of the most range-roaming, seminal and viscerally intense alternative-rock bands
of the '90's. With vocalist Rob Dickinson, the band possessed a songwriter of rare talent with scalpel-sharp statements emanating from epic songs such as their breakthrough, the feedback-soaked Black Metallic.
Years after his groundbreaking band stopped making records, Dickinson has now delivered the sweeping, heartbreaking opus we knew he had in his back pocket. On his solo debut Fresh Wine for the Horses and new bonus disc Nude, Dickinson again takes us through his lush musical landscapes with beauty, wit, romance -- and lots of guitar.
