Since forming in 1971 just for the fun of it, the Seldom Scene has remained at the forefront of the progressive bluegrass movement, challenging musical boundaries and taking the form to new heights. Wowing audiences from the National Folk Festival to the White House, the Scenes musical virtuosity has earned them a well-deserved spot in the Washington Area Music Association Hall of Fame. from the very start they possessed all of the necessary elements to become a bluegrass supergroup.
