J. Lee Productions is set to release the new short film- "The Murderer" Sat. November 3 @ the Planetarium. “The Murderer” will be J. Lee Productions 8th Production and marks the first time the writer, producer, and director J. Lee takes on a new title as actor. “The Murderer” was filmed this summer in the heart of this state's capital and features Mississippi’s talented up and coming actors and actresses.



Nickolas Allen, played by Jackson, MS native Mario Tolliver, is a man who has everything. He is loved by some but hated by many. Will having everything cost him his life? It seems that everyone has a reason to want him dead. His wife, Ebony Allen, played by Jackson, MS native Eva Forbes, has finally had enough of many years filled with abusiveness and cruel treatment. Mylo Haywood, played by Jackson, MS native Terryal Thomas, is Nick’s best friend and has been burning secretly with resentment as he watches Nick steal everything he has and claim for his own…

With so many unknown enemies with secret agendas, clear opportunities, and malicious motivates, one thing is clear, everyone has a motive. Nickolas has become an easy target for what many would call a forgivable crime, but does anyone have the audacity? This short suspenseful piece is sure to keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat.
