Hosted by Academy Award nominee and Tony Award-winning Scottish actor Tom Conti. Marc Pachter, distinguished director of Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, chairs an evening on the arts and the pursuit of happiness from the creative age of The Scottish Enlightenment in the eighteenth-century to the emergence of jazz and much more in modern-day America. Featuring Grammy Award-winning jazz legend Dr Billy Taylor, Scottish literary critic Cairns Craig, former architecture correspondent for The (London) Times Charles McKean, and performers from The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
