The Science Behind Sea Monsters October 6, 2009

Set in the oceans of Kansas 82 million years ago, National Geographic's ground-breaking IMAX film, Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure, weaves together a series of paleontological digs from around the globe in a compelling story about scientists working as detectives to answer questions about an ancient and mysterious ocean world. The Museum's own Ken Carpenter was one of the senior science consultants for the film. Join him to screen the film and learn about these real monsters that once cruised the Midwest. Sea Monsters opens in Phipps IMAX Theater on Friday, September 18.
