The Hickory Community Theatre reprises its late-night production of David Sedaris' "The Santaland Diaries." 10:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 28-Dec. 13; 7:00 p.m. Sundays, Dec. 7 and 14.

The play is a one-man show, based on the original essay by humorist David Sedarist and adapted for the stage by Joe Mantello, who is most famous for bringing “Wicked” to the Broadway stage.

Local actor David Townsend, well-known to Unifour audiences for his roles in "Oklahoma", “The Little Prince” and “Bye-Bye Birdie” plays the role of an unemployed writer, reluctantly working as an elf in Santa’s Village at Macy’s department store in Manhattan, NY.
