London audiences will remember a nameless trio featuring songstresses Allison Brown, Erin Gignac and Anna Atkinson from heavenly performances at the Ugly Mug Café, Home County Folk Festival open stage, Aeolian Hall, Harrington Cornfest, Richmond Tavern, Scot’s Corner and the now lamented Brunswick Hotel. After touring Ontario for several summers at the dawn of the century, the rootsy gals parted for other projects in 2003 and now, the long awaited reunion brings them together under the name “The Rusty Halos”.
The trio performs folk, oldtyme, gospel, bluegrass, and blues classics matched with diverse original repertoire on guitar, violin, viola, accordion, bass, mandolin and other unique instruments; forming the foundation for their truly magical vocal harmonies. A live recording of their official reunion show last winter at Windsor ’s Phog Lounge will be available for sale at the November 8th concert for $5.00.
