Gallery Mementos presents an art exhibition titled ‘The root of everything’ a group of drawings. The show features 38 contemporary artists who share a common interest and devotion to the art of drawing. It includes a number of senior artists whose works have inspired generations of artists and art lovers. The younger ones in the show are equally imaginative, stimulating and committed; always striving to 'draw' the mysteries of life, their images reveal a rare motivation. Young or elderly, traditional or modern, urban or pastoral, trained or self-taught – all these artists celebrate the spirit of drawing in its varied forms, methods and styles. This show, in particular, pays homage to the memory of two accomplished and inspiring artists of our land: G R Santosh (1929 - 1997) and Paritosh Sen (1918 -2008).
