The Renaissance Awards & Heritage Club Luncheon October 22, 2010

Renaissance Publishing and the Preservation Resource Center are pleased to announce The Renaissance Awards & Heritage Club Luncheon, featuring guest speaker Pamela Fiori. Ms. Fiori will be providing a glimpse into the exceptional architecture and design behind 30 distinctive dwellings that are the subject of AT HOME WITH TOWN&COUNTRY, the new book published by Hearst for release in September.

The Renaissance Awards are a product of collaboration with New Orleans Homes & Lifestyles and the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans to honor individuals and organizations around New Orleans that have undertaken major renovations while staying true to the original architecture and history of the building. The honorees will be formally acknowledged during the awards presentation at the luncheon.

Pamela Fiori became editor-at-large for Town&Country in April 2010, after leading the magazine as editor-in-chief since 1993. Under her 17-year editorship, Town&Country - America's longest continuously published general-interest magazine, established in 1846 - became the premier luxury lifestyle magazine in the U.S., edited for the country’s most sophisticated, affluent and accomplished women. Fiori revitalized Town&Country by expanding the boundaries of the magazine to include a greater variety of topics, voices, personalities and departments. Her focus on philanthropy, fashion, beauty, healthy living and style elevated the magazine's stature. In addition to being editor-in-chief of Town&Country, she was also editorial director of the biannual Town&Country Weddings. Fiori is an accomplished author, and her latest work is a book called In the Spirit of Capri (Assouline), a chronicle of her favorite island in the world. Her first book, Stolen Moments (Glitterati published in 2008), is based on the photography of Ronny Jaques, a contemporary of Richard Avedon and Lillian Hellman, who worked for both Town&Country and Harper's Bazaar in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. Prior to her achievements at Town&Country, Fiori was at American Express Publishing's Travel & Leisure, which she edited for 14 years. In 1989, she earned the position of executive vice president and editorial director at American Express Publishing Corporation.

Pamela Fiori will sign copies of AT HOME WITH TOWN&COUNTRY at the conclusion of the luncheon. This beautiful hardback book will be available for $60, courtesy of Garden District Book Shop, who is generously donating a portion of the sales to the PRC.
