The Red Brick Road Theatre Company opens its second full season of shows with The Flu Season by award-winning playwright Will Eno. This nostalgic love story is directed by special guest Devon Armstrong, Artistic Director of Downtown Repertory Theater. The Flu Season will be presented from February 4th through the 26th at the Avery Schreiber Theater in North Hollywood.
The Flu Season by Will Eno follows the tantalizing, intriguing, and scattered love tale of a man and woman in a mental institution. The beautiful language and metaphors of Will Eno creates a world of thought- provoking messages of love and passion. By generating true human connections through tears and laughter, Eno uses two allegorical characters; the Prologue and Epilogue, to display the journey of love for the other four characters. Through this dark comedy, a man, woman, nurse, and doctor try to find true meaning in their lives by battling as well as embracing what makes life worth living and the realistic boundaries of a true love story.
