The Power of Innovation June 26, 2008

The Krell Group, a consulting firm located in Concord, will be presenting a seminar on increasing creativity in small businesses. The seminar, called "The Power of Innovation" will take place On Thurs., June 26th from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. at the International Education Center, 246 Golf Club Rd in Pleasant Hill.

The content is delivered in an interactive format so each participant has the opportunity to understand how the material applies to their unique situation. Each participant leaves each seminar with a list of action ideas that they can put to use immediately in their business.

Modern business is changing rapidly, what worked ten years ago will not work now. Companies need a systematic way of developing new ideas and strategies. This seminar examines the current literature and studies of innovation, distills the theories and applies the theories to the business models of the participants. Many businesses unconsciously stifle innovation and support the status quo. Participants will be shown ways to examine their communication policies that will allow innovative ideas to come to the attention of the owners or managers. Ideas can come from a variety of sources, employees, vendors, customers, and even children. How open is your business to new ideas?

The seminar is intended for business professionals with several years of experience and a basic knowledge of business procedures. The businesses that will get the most benefit from this seminar are companies in areas where the market is changing or shrinking, such as real estate.

The seminar will be conducted by Jerome C. Bush, M.B.A. who has fifteen years experience as a business owner. Throughout the seminar Mr. Bush sprinkles stories and anecdotes of his past experiences, giving color to the theoretical knowledge. Participants are also encouraged to share their stories and examine how the theories presented can apply to their business. It will be an interesting and valuable seminar for all attendees.
