The Power of Ceremony: Restoring the Sacred in Our Selves, Our Families, Our Communities - Evening Presentation and Interactive Ceremony Workshop August 19, 2011

We all come from a ceremonial culture, although many of us have lost that connection and knowledge after centuries of repression. Real, spiritually-based ceremonies are life-changing events that can help us to develop a closer relationship to Earth, Spirit, and our fellow human beings.

Join author Linda Neale as she describes ceremonies of healing, transition, and celebration, and leads us through seven basic principles of ceremony. These principles are used to develop personal, family and community ceremonies, and can help restore ceremony to a place of prominence in our culture.

Linda Neale, LMFT, LPC, founder of The Earth & Spirit Council, is a fourth generation Oregonian and has participated in native ceremonies for over 30 years. Her work overlaps the circles of deep ecology, Native American spiritual traditions, women’s spirituality, and depth psychology. As a professional marriage and family therapist, Linda integrates ceremony into her therapeutic work with couples, families, and communities and has dedicated her life to helping people develop ceremonies to heal feelings of separation in modern society.
