Murder isn’t the ideal way to get out of a relationship, but Lana Turner and John Garfield will have to find that out the hard way in director Tay Garnett’s The Postman Always Rings Twice. Turner plays Cora, whose older husband has hired a drifter (Garfield) to help out at his diner. After Cora falls for the new hire, the two plot to get rid of the husband in not the nicest—or the smartest—of ways.
