ENFANT
CAVIARE DAYS
THE BLOOGS
On Saturday 8th November THE PLAYGROUND PR hosts a night of some of the best, unsigned talent from across London at the infamous PROUD GALLERIES. With all 3 artists launching new material, it should make for a very special evening in the famous Horse Stables at PROUD Camden.
►Breaking out above the noise of new acts in London are ENFANT, an electronic music duo consisting of twin brothers Ali and Robin Owen. Fast gaining a reputation for their frenetic live shows, this year has seen them smashing underground parties in Peckham to headlining club nights in London's East End. Their live show hits with impact as they leave a trail of big baselines, energetic showmanship and a reputation for creating spontaneous raves in their wake. Headlining the night on the 8th December, this is an act that is worth your attention. There is always an overwhelming sense of intrigue in the room and it is always complimented by a feeling that there are bigger things to come.
The new single 'Border Of Mexico' is out 3rd December and the video can be found online now.
►Main support comes all the way from Sweden for an exclusive London performance. CAVIARE DAYS is a psychedelic rock band fronted by Swedish sisters Lina and Maja Westin, the name comes from a line in ‘Tender Is The Night’ by F.S. Fitzgerald. The band’s driving force lies in creating a well-tailored but dirty rock that is more baroque than minimalist and more organic than mechanical. They are known for their energetic and free-form live shows, mirroring a rock'n'roll tradition pioneered by bands like JEFFERSON AIRPLANE, THE DOORS and even LED ZEPPELIN, all backed up and intensified by a great deal of hair-flinging, head-banging moves as well as some signature ass-shaking.
'The Awakening' EP is out 26th November
►Opening up the night will be UK based 5-piece indie band, THE BLOOGS. Their song writing stems from 60's guitar pop traditions, they are influenced by the likes of THE KINKS, THE WHO and which means ultimately direct accessible hooky edgy pop-rock. The band evoke The Police, The Pretenders and early 90’s sounds of THE LA’S, CAST and THE BOO RADLEYS with sparkling guitars and harmonies tied to witty lyrics aimed to resonate with the people. With recent support slots for TOPLOADER, appearances at Lively Bird Festival, Field of Dreams Festival, much regional radio support and airplay on BBC 3's Late Junction and their track 'Brain-Damaged Heart' featured in new indie Brit movie 'Scar Tissue' also coming out in October 2012, things are shaping up in favour of THE BLOOGS.
'Freezing Rain' is out 3rd December with the new video found online now.
