The PinkSlipParty (aka LaidOffCamp) is a free half-day-long unconference for unemployed and self-employed people (including entrepreneurs and startups) who want to share ideas and learn from each other.
Thursday afternoon, February 19 from 1 to 5pm at the Dallas Co-Working space in the State/Thomas area: CoHabitat, 2517 Thomas Avenue, Dallas. Plenty of free parking on the streets around CoHabitat.
The PinkSlipParty attendees at this ad-hoc gathering will discuss topics in sessions that may include: finding free wifi locations in DFW, how to tap into your existing professional network, building your personal brand, how to be a freelance consultant, living on an extreme budget, and more.
Bring ideas and topics you would like to discuss!
(Modeled after The first LaidOffCamp scheduled to occur on March 3rd, 2009 in San Francisco, CA.)
If there is interest after the sessions have wrapped up, perhaps attendees would like to meet for a purely social event somewhere in the uptown or State/Thomas neighborhood. =)
