Michele Mosko Fine Art has extended the current exhibit
"The Photography of Huang Yan"
until April 12th.
The work of Huang Yan; photographer, sculptor and performance
artist, addresses the contrast in culture between today's China and
its past. This exhibition of Yan's photographic collaborations
with his wife, Zhang Tiemei, incorporate the classic shan-shui
landscape with the surface of the human body, creating a new
conceptual context. As artists and subjects of their own investigation,
Huang Yan and Zhang Tiemei reflect the omnipresent cultural angst
of their generation in contemporary China.
Gallery hours are 12-6pm Wednesday through Saturday and daily by appointment. Michele Mosko Fine Art, 136 W. 12th Avenue in Denver.
