The Performers, by Canadian Playwright David West Read November 13, 2012

The Performers, written by Markham, Ontario native David West Read, opens at the Longacre Theater on November 14. Not counting solo shows from Martin Short and William Shatner, The Performers is essentially the first non-musical play written by a Canadian to open on Broadway since 1984. Set in the location of an adult entertainment awards show, this play is only the second ever written by 29-year-old Read, and features a high-calibure cast including Alicia Silverstone and Henry Winkler.
