The Peking Acrobats, a troupe of China’s most gifted tumblers, contortionists, jugglers, cyclists, and gymnasts, have been astonishing audiences with the graceful athleticism of their ancient folk art of acrobatics since 1952. Their remarkable feats—daring balancing maneuvers atop a precarious pagoda of chairs, treacherous wire-walking, and powerful precision tumbling—are all performed to the live orchestral accompaniment of traditional Chinese instruments. The Peking Acrobats have been featured on numerous television shows and have recently graced the silver screen in Ocean’s 13. Watching The Peking Acrobats perform is “like watching Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon live, without camera tricks creating special effects,” boast the critics. A must-see for the entire family!
