Montreal, January 10, 2012 – The Mary Anne Rennolds Chamber Concerts has invited Montreal’s Orchestre de chambre Appassionata to participate in this prestigious series on January 21, 2012. Under the direction of Daniel Myssyk, the orchestra will present its first concert on American soil at the Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall in Richmond, Virginia. For the occasion, internationally renowned Canadian pianist Richard Raymond will join Appassionata’s 19 musicians in an interpretation of Paul Hindemith’s Four Temperaments and Frédéric Chopin’s Andante spianato and Grande Polonaise brillante. The Scherzo pour cordes by Quebec composer André Prévost and the Serenade for Strings by Antonin Dvořák will also be on the program.
