The Nutcracker Swings December 19, 2009

Enjoy an unforgettable evening of cool jazz Christmas favorites and Christmas Spirit with some of today's top artists including Renee Olstead, Maestro Victor Vener, Pasadena Jazz Orchestra, redwhite+bluezz all stars, PJI Junior Superstars and Sylvia St. James and the Sacred Nation Gospel Choir--plus a visit by Santa Claus! With guest host Bryan Gallyot.

Music for the evening features holiday classics including A Charlie Brown Christmas, Duke Ellington's Nutcracker Suite, The Christmas Song, Sleigh Ride, Quincy Jones' arrangement of the Hallelujah Chorus and more. It's the best Christmas celebration in town--and what's more, it benefits the Pasadena Jazz Institute and its Jazz Camp for Kids program. All in the gorgeous Pasadena Convention Center Grand Ballroom.
