More than thrilled to roll out a collection of his original songs, “ubiquitous downtown music hero” (CounterCritic.com) Nick Hallett is joined by a cavalcade of the city’s most vibrant creative forces for what promises to be a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of evening. While focusing most of his songwriting energies these days onto a secret theater project, Nick Hallett has also been penning tunes for the Weimar New York cabaret along with other rarefied musical affairs. He will resurrect more than a few songs from his legendary “nu wave cabaret” band, Plantains, a mainstay at long-lost Fez Under Time
Café, in addition to a premiere or two. Full band includes Mike Jackson on upright bass, David Justh on drums, and Zach Layton on banjo.
