The ultimate mission of The New Los Angeles Folk Festival is to promote and document new folk music in Los Angeles as it happens, to create collaborative efforts between like-minded organizations in support of charitable causes, and to provide entertainment for those who seek it. We invite and welcome ideas for future events, good deeds, interesting projects, and magazine topics.
Proceeds from the festival will go towards the Environmental Defense Fund and help to aid the Gulf cleanup efforts.
Our daylong event is taking place on August 7th at HM 157 in Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles. The lineup includes some of Los Angeles' finest folk performers:
