The New Folksters in Concert August 30, 2008

The popular quintet will perform a benefit concert for the Florence Area Humane Society at the Ocean Dunes Golf Links club house.

Everyone is invited to attend. You will not only be able to sing along with familiar tunes, but also purchase pet-related merchandise to help raise money for the shelter. A few adoptable animals will be on hand to check out prospective humans. The Florence Area Humane Society operates an animal shelter for homeless animals and do all they can to find forever homes for these dogs and cats. They also seek to educate people about such animal-related issues as cruelty and pet overpopulation.

The concert will include a variety of folk, bluegrass, swing and classical tunes. The New Folksters are Judy Adams (vocals), Larry Gallagher (guitar and vocals), Lynette Kristine (bass), John Temples (banjo and guitar), and Hal Weiner (guitar, mandolin and vocals).
