WHAT: The NYC Parks Reforestation Stewardship Program is an opportunity for groups of volunteers to “adopt” a reforestation site and help care for the new trees planted by the MillionTreesNYC initiative. This includes removing invasive species to prevent them from overtaking the young plants that are trying to grow. The Conservancy's Young Professionals Group has adopted Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx - and they're inviting all tree lovers to come out and help make a difference!
WHO: The Nature Conservancy’s Young Professionals Group is a member-based association comprised of over 1,500 of the city’s brightest men and women. Since its inception in 2005, the Young Professionals Group has raised more than $750,000 to support The Nature Conservancy’s conservation activities in New York and around the world.
