Nashville’s newest music venue and restaurant, The National Underground, will have its official grand opening on Saturday, October 15, 2011. The first off-shoot of the popular New York City club owned by artists and brothers Gavin and Joey DeGraw, The National Underground Nashville, will combine the best in local and national original roots rock and country music along with a full menu—including a burger that was named one of the best in New York City.
Located on Lower Broadway, across from the Hard Rock Café, the club will feature both upcoming acts as well as established artists. The Grand Opening celebration will include performances by Joey DeGraw, Hilary Williams, The Cold Stares, and the Eric Jon Band.
The National Underground welcomes fans of all ages until 9 p.m. and is a non-smoking restaurant and club. Food is served 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Monday - Thursday and Sundays, and 11 a.m. to 5 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays (the bar stops serving alcohol at 3:00 a.m., but the club is open until 5 a.m. for food.) The National Underground Nashville is located at 105 Broadway between the former Acme Farm Supply store and Big River Grille.
