Carnegie Hall celebrates esteemed composer, conductor, and pianist Andre Previn's 80th birthday with an all-star trio of friends. Mozart's late piano trio is a nod to Haydn's perfection of the trio form with a hint of Beethovenian virtuosity in the piano sections. After hearing Mendelssohn's lyrical first piano trio, Schumann declared Mendelssohn "the Mozart of the 19th century, the most illuminating of musicians." Grammy Award-winning German violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, legendary conductor and pianist Andre Previn, and celebrated cellist Lynn Harrell join forces to create a "dream team" piano trio.
