Michael Dorf’s eighth benefit concert includes punk poet Patti Smith, the Roots, and Canadian band the Cowboy Junkies at Carnegie Hall in a tribute concert to iconic Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young. The concert, a benefit for music and arts programs for underprivileged youth, will feature more than 20 artists. The venue is especially fitting as Young played a 1970 concert at Carnegie Hall that is considered one of the influential musician’s landmark concerts. The tribute will feature a wide range of artists singing highlights from Young’s songbook.
