The Museum's Hidden Secrets (Breughel and Co) July 21, 2005

As from this year, sets of works from the museum?s reserves are being shown in the temporary exhibition galleries. Entitled ?Breughel and Co.?, the first presentation sheds light on (among other things) paintings by Breughel?s sons and imitators, showing ordinary people going about their daily business. Some of the paintings are amusing, some ironic, but all expound a universal maxim.
