TMTC returns to HSA after the critically acclaimed production of Bintou. The premiere of Bintou was
hailed by The New York Times as "talent that off off broadway at it's best can nurture."
A man who hears war in his dreams… A woman caught in silence… Black Boy & The War delves into the complicated and inextricable connection between the Black Man and the Black Woman. With the constant push and pull of love and society's power to make and unmake one's identity this piece begs to question, “where will this Black Boy have to go to find his name?”
Playwright Antoinette Nwandu graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and holds masters degrees from The University of Edinburgh and New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
She is a member of the Dramatist Guild and the recipient of the Lorraine Hansberry Playwriting
