See today’s cutting edge digital media artists at the four-day MMiX Festival of Interactive Music Technology in downtown Manhattan. MMiX features an impressive roster of composer/performers, including Todd Reynolds, Luke DuBois, DJ Rekha, Elliott Sharp, Patrick Grant Group, Jon Margulies, Bora Yoon and Joshua Fried/Radio Wonderland.
Software and laptop improvements present new possibilities for composer/performers to create complex soundscapes in real-time during live performance. MMiX demonstrates that these emerging audio technologies are instrumental in new artistic creations through live performance, interactive media installations and workshops.
