Back by popular demand, an encore prerecorded broadcast of Rossini’s The Barber of Seville (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) will be shown for one day only. The music from this production has been featured in Bugs Bunny cartoons and TV commercials, but is best heard in its original setting, where its infectious charm and bubbling joy are given free reign. In the Met’s new production, the dashing young Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórez sings one of his greatest roles as Count Almaviva. Run Time: 3 hours.
