An opera by Franz Lehar, with libretto by Viktor Leon. Zeta, the Baron of Pontevedria, schemes to gain the fortune of the Merry Widow Hanna for his impoverished country. To this end, he tries to persuade his friend Danilo to marry her. Meanwhile the Baron's young wife, Valencienne, eyes the officer Camille.
