Barking Spider Visual Theatre presents
The Memorandium
Where dynamic theatre meets memory roulette...
Running from 16 August – 1 September at Theatre Works in St Kilda, Barking Spider Visual Theatre continue their tradition of offering Melbourne audiences ground-breaking, interactive theatre with this premiere season! The Memorandium is born from an unwavering fascination in objects, and our relationship to them. A theatrical exploration of memory that uncovers stories, feelings and impressions residing within us all; this wonderful journey asks us “Is memory more imagination or fact?”
The Memorandium blends interactive, improvised storytelling with objects, puppetry, and an installation set. Audience members are encouraged to feel ownership of, and inclusion in, the performance throughout. A dynamic theatrical experience, this season of The Memorandium will also feature and utilise some of our latest social networking technology; integrating this new method of human interaction into our arts landscape, and exploring the impact it can have.
"Such an excellent performance! Thank you! You bring beautiful soul memories to my thoughts."
"I found it so wonderful to hear the audience talk about their connection to objects. A very personal and familiar space to be in with some wonderful forays into absurdity.”
"Very gripping. Very clever. I wanted to know what was going to happen next!”
